The Moto-Master 420 49T rear sprocket is a replacement drive sprocket made from steel black. The black steel construction offers durability at an accessible price point, suitable for regular training and race use on small-displacement MX and pit bikes. Changing the number of teeth alters the final drive ratio, affecting acceleration, top speed and engine rpm at any given road speed.

How tooth count affects your ride

Adding teeth to the rear sprocket increases acceleration and bottom-end torque at the expense of top speed. Removing rear teeth raises top speed while reducing low-rpm pulling power. Changing one tooth on the front sprocket has roughly the same effect as three teeth on the rear.
