Quad maintenance and repair: rates, tips and how we work

Want to enjoy worry-free riding on your quad, ATV or side-by-side for as long as possible? Then proper maintenance is essential. Powersportcenter has more than 40 years of experience in servicing and repairing quads. Whether you want to schedule your annual service or need an unexpected repair, our workshop is the right place. We work with brands that are officially represented in the Netherlands, so we always use genuine parts.

How often does a quad need servicing?

Just like a car or motorcycle, your quad should be serviced at least once a year. How often it needs additional maintenance depends on how you ride.

Heavy use: do you ride off-road a lot, through mud, sand or water, or use your quad daily for work on the farm or in the woods? Then your quad needs more frequent servicing, because oil, filters, brakes and bearings take a real beating.

Recreational use: do you mostly ride now and then? Then one annual service is usually enough, ideally before or after the riding season.

New quad under warranty: have it serviced according to the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. That way, your factory warranty remains valid.

Tip: hose your quad down after a muddy ride and store it in a dry, sheltered place, preferably a shed or garage. This prevents rust and unnecessary wear on bearings, brakes and electronics.

Quad servicing at Powersportcenter

We carry out maintenance and repairs in our own workshop, using specialist tools and genuine parts. We order these parts through the brand’s official importer or representative. Where needed, we read out modern fuel-injected quads and their electronics using diagnostic equipment.

We always discuss the required work with you beforehand and provide a clear quote. If we find additional wear or hidden defects during the service, we will always contact you first. No unpleasant surprises.

How much does quad servicing cost?

At Powersportcenter, you can choose between two types of service:

Minor service: approx. €145 to €180 incl. VAT (€120 to €150 excl. VAT)
Major service: approx. €240 to €300 incl. VAT (€200 to €250 excl. VAT)

The final price depends on the make and model of your quad, the parts required and the number of labour hours. You will always receive a tailored quote in advance.

Servicing your quad yourself?

You can easily carry out minor maintenance yourself, provided you use the right parts and products. Always make sure to:

• Use genuine or approved parts from a reliable source.
• Choose oil and filters that meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Take into account the heavy loads a quad is exposed to. This often calls for shorter service intervals than a motorcycle.

Quad repair: how does it work?

Damage after heavy use, or problems with technical components? We service and repair quads, ATVs and side-by-sides from brands with an official importer or representative in the Netherlands. This gives us access to genuine parts, technical documentation and a reliable parts supply, and so to a dependable result. This also applies if you did not buy your vehicle from us.

When your quad arrives, we assess the problem and provide a clear quote. Sometimes further disassembly is needed to find out exactly what is wrong. In that case, too, we always discuss the costs with you first.

You decide whether the repair goes ahead. No obligations, just clarity.

Please note: we do not service quads from brands without official representation in the Netherlands. Nor do we fit parts of unknown origin that you have ordered online yourself. Frequently asked questions about quad maintenance

Do you service all quad brands?
We service and repair all brands with an official importer or representative in the Netherlands. Only then can we order genuine parts through an official channel and fully stand behind our work. We do not accept quads from brands without Dutch representation, nor customer-supplied parts of unknown origin.

What is the difference between a minor and a major service?
During a minor service, we change the oil, replace the oil filter and check the key components. A major service goes further: we also replace the air filter and spark plugs, check the drivetrain, bearings and valve clearance, and read out the electronics.

Will my warranty remain valid if Powersportcenter services my quad?
Yes. We follow the manufacturer’s maintenance guidelines and use genuine parts.

Do you also service ATVs and side-by-sides?
Yes. In addition to quads, we also service and repair ATVs, side-by-sides and UTVs from brands with official representation in the Netherlands.

When is the best time to have my quad serviced?
Ideally before the riding season, or in autumn before your quad goes into winter storage. Spring is often a busy time in the workshop, so book your appointment early.

What if something else turns out to be broken during the service?
We will always contact you first to discuss the costs. We never carry out additional work without your approval.
